A few weekends ago, I attended a wedding in Austin, which co-incidentally was the same weekend as the #RoyalWedding of the now Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meaghan so I just told myself that was where I was going...LOL! It was an evening ceremony that had the actual wedding nuptuals take place outdoors a little earlier while the reception held indoors in a quaint but modern restaurant (turned event hall) complete with a 3 course meal, live band and my favourite part, an open bar.
I will admit that I need to get better at taking pictures for this blog especially when I go places but I guess I have more work to do in that regard to start thinking more like a "blogger" and less like a mere guest when I go to cute places and attend nice events. I'll do better, I promise guys; still getting used to this whole blogging thing..I suppose I'm more of a writer than a photographer.
My outfit was a spring inspired lovely blush tone dress with a floral design pattern that I paired with a similar colour purse and a pair of maroon pumps. My make-up followed the same aesthetic by matching my eyes with the same colour palette of blush and maroon to complement my dress and shoes while my lips were a dark pink colour.
I attended the wedding with my sisters but I think that by the end, I was the only one who got lit by taking major advantage of the open bar and helping myself to some delicious cocktails and a few glasses of champagne (don't judge me, lol).
I don't know why I did not remember to take a full body shot of my dress (again I apologize for this) but I got it on clearance at Target for less than $15. My purse was from Charming Charlies and I got it for a steal at $10 while all of my jewellery is from Forever 21.
It was a fun time in Austin and this summer, there should be a few more events with friends and family so I will do my best to get pictures of everything. It's just challenging when you don't really have people to help take them for you BUT I won't let that be an excuse.
