STYLING A STATEMENT T-SHIRT

I enjoy the flexibility and versatility of fashion today and how we have all come to be so much more experimental and expressive with our clothes. A good statement t-shirt has always been a fashion staple; with the ability to dress it up or down, making it appropriate attire for any occasion or event and one of my many favourite pieces to style.

Fashion bloggers worldwide have all shared how they like to style their favourite t-shirts and given us tips on how we can too. A statement shirt is not only a trendy or fashionable item, they can capture our moods, express our personalities, be humorous, motivate, encourage and even remind us of things we wouldn't like to forget. Fashionpreneurs have been creating amazing statement t-shirts for sometime now and I encourage everone to get your hands on a few because on those days when you have nothing to wear (and we all have them), a good statement t-shirt is always a good idea.

Today, I decided to style a few t-shirts I own and am currently loving and I hope you enjoy!

QUEEN T-SHIRT + ANKARA MAXI SKIRT - I wore this a few weeks ago to a graduation party I attended with family and received compliments on the shirt and the entire look. I got this shirt off shein and love how I can style this multiple ways.

CLASSIC T-SHIRT + JEANS - Everyone's fav and one of the more popular ways to style a statement tee. Layered with a red blazer (an old Target find) and flats, I can easily rock this look to a meeting or as the perfect back to school look for college students.

GEEK T-SHIRT + POLKA DOT MIDI SKIRT - This skirt was originally a maxi skirt but I thought it would look nicer as a midi and I was right. I accessorized with a black dress belt which I think pulled the look together.

T-SHIRT + JEGGINS COMBO - For a more sporty chic look, pair your statement tee with white jeggins and sneakers. I achieved the vibe I was going for with this look and can pretty much wear this anywhere. I would merely switch up my jewellery and shoes and layer with a bomber jacket for the evening.

NAIJA MADE TEE +  A PENCIL SKIRT - A mid week work appropriate look or maybe even as a  casual friday outfit if your office dress culture permits. With or without a blazer, the look works and can easily transition to a night out with colleagues or friends after work with a quick accessories change and clutch purse in place of the shoulder bag.

T-SHIRT + RED FLAIRED PANTS - Go bold or go home with this head to toe red look. Also work appropriate or paired with a kimono can be worn to catch an evening play at the theatre.

BREATHE T-SHIRT + GOLD PENCIL SKIRT - Perfect for a date, you can pair this with heels, flats, sandals or sneakers depending on the type of date it is. Layer with a denim jacket and the look takes on a more casual vibe.

T-SHIRT + SHORTS AND A KIMONO - For a fun day at the theme park or a concert (coachella maybe), pairing your statement tee with shorts lets everyone know you are dressed for fun. I would wear this with either gladiator sandals or with sneakers like I did in this picture.

How do you like to wear your favourite statement tees? Shein has an impressive array of them at super affordable prices and of course your friendly neighbourhood Target does too. Make sure to come back next week for reviews on My Target Finds that will now feature every fortnight on the blog.

Have a great weekend lovelies!

Love Always
