Admittedly, I didn't do very much shopping this past month just because I feel like I may be getting a tad bit bored with all the trends and styles and brands floating around lately. I get into these phases sometimes where I'm uninspired and start to ask myself how many more posts or IG videos do I really need to see telling me all the ways I can rock a tank top?
I think we all pretty much get the gist by now - versatile clothes are the preference, colors are key and accessories make the difference. So for my shopping finds this month, I went really low key and got myself a mere 4 items; 2 from Amazon, 1 from a yard sale and 1 from Target which all caught my eye for their colors and character 😊.
This yellow button down A line summer dress is from Amazon and I fell in love with it for several reasons:
1. The color is a bright and beautiful yellow shade that works perfectly for the summer
2. It is a great length at just below the knees so the legs can be on show
3. The A-line design works for any body type
4. The buttons are only decorative which I like because I don't get that annoying gap in between that usually happens when a dress is improperly made
5. The spaghetti straps are the perfect length and therefore not adjustable which I also like because I don't have to constantly keep manipulating them to fit.
The fabric is 100% cotton and is great in taking you everywhere from beach babe to airport chic. I wore this just as styled with a denim jacket on a coffee date recently and I was not disappointed at all.
Instantly fell in love with this bright orange bodycon dress also from Amazon for the fit and its obvious reminder that I am indeed a dope chick!! The downside of this dress is that it has very little stretch even though it says it is stretchy on the outfit details. The fabric is supposed to be a mix of spandex and polyester so I recommend going a size up if you are interested in getting this for yourself and there's a few different colors to choose from as well. I may have to style this with a longer denim jacket, men's bomber jacket or long kimono to cover up any lumps and bumps that tend to sneak up on me when I'm not looking 😜
This black purse is bursting with character and that was the motivation for getting it especially since I haven't got anything like it in my collection. Picked up this baby from a yard sale for $2 and I must confess that you will almost always find some gems at a yard sale which means its true what they say that one man's trash is another man's treasure. The bag is in great condition and has enough room to fit all of my bits and bobs. It will pair well with everything and can't wait to style.
Finally is this plain black crop top I picked up from Target for $3 with the intention of styling it with my midi and maxi skirts as well as my high waisted jeans and shorts for the summer. I went in to Target not really looking for anything specific and ended up coming out with the most basic of items 😂. I should go in with more of an idea next time so when something jumps out at me in the store, I know to go for it.
A rather unimpressive shopping finds this month but hey, sometimes even shopaholics like me don't feel inspired to buy much of anything. Hopefully by the next time, my inspiration and addiction would have made a strong comeback and there will be more to show.
In the meantime, have yourselves a fabulous weekend and see you next week!
Always Love 💘
