So I turned 39 a couple of days ago as some of you may already know and it was honestly one of the best birthdays I've had in a long while.
It's no secret that I have zero qualms about getting older as I've said countless times that I consider it a privilege to witness my different milestone ages. Although I didn't plan anything elaborate for my special day (saving that for next year, God willing), I knew what I wanted to do, where I wanted to go and how I wanted to look. I have also recently started dating someone new and so obviously my birthday was spent with him😊
My Outfit:
I came across this lemon mini dress from Target almost 2 months ago and knew I wanted it to be my birthday outfit. It was on clearance for about $10 and I paired it with my Just Fab pumps, some gold jewelry and draped my Shein kimono over it. I really like the way the look came together.
What I Got Up To:
I absolutely love going to Frisco because the vibe is so metro chic and always bubbling with life and energy from the young and young at heart crowd that come to take advantage of the cute restaurants, cafes, boutiques and dessert shops littered all over the place. The lake is my favorite place to stop at whenever I'm there and my birthday was no different.
Took a bunch of pictures (courtesy the bae of course) and afterwards, stopped by my favorite place to eat for dinner as well as treat myself to a yummy strawberry daiquiri.
I always only ever get the Shrimp Penne Pesto and it tastes absolutely delicious every single time. Will tell you more about this place and the food in my upcoming review so stay tuned for that.
My Makeup:
I knew I wanted a sultry makeup look for my day because I thought it would complement my outfit and entire look perfectly. I ended up coming up with a purple smokey eye, purple glossy lip and absolutely loved the entire look.
By the end of the day, I was full - of joy, gratitude and plenty of food. My boyfriend was amazing throughout and so was my family. I felt like finally I was in a great place mentally, emotionally and spiritually and could not have wished for a better way to spend my 39th birthday.
