A new year means new staycation diaries to bring you. The bae and I stayed at the lovely Woodspring Suites early in January this year and it did feel like a home away from home experience.

LOCATION & ACTIVITIES
Woodspring Suites is an extended stay hotel which basically means that it is the place you want to go when you need a longer stay away from home but with all the comforts and amenities of a great hotel experience. This particular hotel where we stayed is relatively new and is the perfect choice for visitors, travelers, students and tourists. It is close to places like the Dallas Love Field Airport, Collin College Spring Hill Campus, Eagle Stadium, Kid Zania, Oak Point Park and Plano Event Center.
There are a few other locations but this one is situated at 6809 K AVENUE, PLANO, TX 75074.
SERVICE & AMENITIES
Friendly and accommodating staff from the front desk to housekeeping. Other than the rich blue, creme and shades of brown colors of the hotel's exterior, the well equipped modern suites have to be one of my favorite things here. Our suite was kit with a fully functional kitchen, full sized refrigerator and freezer, stove top, microwave, Flatscreen TV and excellent Wi-Fi.
The hallways were clean and smelled fresh at all times and the bathroom was well lit with all the usual extra toiletries for convenience, fresh towels and hot running water from the rainfall style shower system.
WHAT ELSE
There's access to a 24/7 fitness center which of course I did not bother to take advantage of but I plan on changing that hopefully soon. After all, summer bodies are made in winter so I better get cracking. There's a comfortable lounge area where you can work and have coffee at the same time (forgot to take images of that sadly) and there is a vending machine just in case you get hungry in the middle of the night for a snack or fruity drink.
