Before getting on with today's post, first let me apologize for not uploading last week as scheduled. Without getting into too much detail, there was so much going on on this side that left me with no time to upload but I'm back and ready to get back to consistently bringing you posts every Thursday as the Holy Spirit continues to help me.

Although I was unable to upload a post last week, I have continued on my growth journey of unlearning and relearning about my Christian faith and walk with God. Most recently, the Holy Spirit has been taking me through understanding of the name of Jesus in the place of prayer. First thing worthy of mentioning is that REAL COMMUNION WITH THE FATHER REQUIRES DIALOGUE AND NOT A MONOLOGUE. I am personally guilty of indulging in my own monologues during prayer because all I do is talk and rant to God without stopping to listen to what He has to say on the issues I have raised. The name of Jesus when used without understanding of the power and position it carries, is ineffective and holds no weight. The name Jesus is not an uncommon name in certain cultures but what distinguishes the name of our Lord and Savior from ordinary man is the power, position and authority it carries and it is from this place of understanding that we pray and receive our testimonies and breakthroughs. Proverbs 18:10 tells us that " the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it and is safe". Philippians 2: 9-11 also tells us that "Therefore God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name...."

Once we get this understanding of the name of Jesus, it becomes important that we BELIEVE in the power of the name when we pray over our situations and struggles. Belief is the currency for exchange in the spirit realm and it is the agenda of the enemy to stop us from believing, introducing doubt and fear so that we do not receive the promises that have been freely given to us of God. Personalize the promises of God when you pray and pray with the backing of scripture because this is the mind of God and He always honors His word.
