I've decided that because I no longer do a lot of makeup these days, I would feature one major look every month for the rest of the year. I still enjoy beating my face but it's just not something I'm giving priority focus to anymore.

Having said that, this is the first makeup look of the month that I created and want to share with you all. The inspiration I had for this look was a "Cocktail Evening" so I picked an outfit to inspire the colors I would use and knew that I wanted to showcase my natural hair rather than stress about wearing a wig. 

I picked up this dress from Ross for less than $10, styled it with my mini bag from Target and blue Elisabet Tang pumps from Amazon. With minimal gold jewelry, the entire look came together the way I pictured it in my head.

I used all drugstore products for this makeup look and you can find a list of everything used at the end of this post in case anyone is interested. The only product that was not from the drugstore was my gifted Fenty lip cream.

To style my hair, I had it in 4 cornrows the previous day so all I did was brush it out with a large comb and fluff. I secured the sides with a mix of bobby pins and hair clips till I was satisfied with the shape and style I created.
