THE 3 INGREDIENT SALAD YOU SHOULD TRY THIS SPRING

I haven't shared this here yet but I have been on a little bit of a lifestyle and diet change in the past month and a half because one of the things I believe God shared with me during my March Fast was to be a good or better steward over my body and how I treat it.

I came to the realization that my relationship with food needed to change because it was starting to have a negative effect on my health. Fast forward to a few months later and I've been on a steady diet of fruit smoothies, low carbs, minimal sugar and salads. I'm on Pinterest all the time searching for ways to make these foods exciting enough for me to want to keep eating them week in and week out.

While I enjoy the comfort and ease with the bagged salads I get at the stores, I was so pumped to find this 3 ingredient salad on Pinterest that I make all the time now and recommend you should try this Spring. It's super easy because IT IS JUST 3 INGREDIENTS that are required and they are available at the stores for very affordable prices.

What You Need:

1. Avocados

2. Cucumbers

3. Tomatoes (you can also use baby tomatoes if you prefer)

How To Prepare:

All you need to do is cut up all the ingredients into cube sizes using as much quantity as you want. Season with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, some pepper ( I use Cameroon Pepper) and Salt ( or Buillion Powder).  Combine well and Enjoy!

The seasoning elevates the flavors of the vegetables and makes for a really tasty salad. One thing to note is that because the tomatoes contain a lot of water, you will need to strain that excess out if you have any left overs stored in the fridge. But once you strain the water, the salad still tastes as delicious as it did on the first day it was made.

Though it is a simple salad, you will find that it's quite filling. It's also a bonus that it is healthy which means you can have as much of it as you want. You can enjoy this as a meal by itself, as an appetizer or a side. Sometimes I eat this as a side with some pasta or by itself and may even go a step further by adding some cut up chicken breasts or shrimps to kick things up a notch.

This is definitely the salad you want to try this Spring if you are on a diet or lifestyle change like me or simply looking for an easy meal to make that's flavorful but healthy too. I hope you re-create this simple 3 ingredient salad as you enjoy it with your family and friends this Spring!.

See you all soon!!
