 We all have a position we occupy in the body of Christ and our ASSIGNMENT is to understand what that is and how to go about its execution with our unique giftings and abilities/talents (aka our Calling). As Believers, we all have the same purpose- this purpose declares why we exist and were created. It is that God's Kingdom agenda will be manifested on earth.

 

So how do we know what God's Kingdom agenda is? I like to think that a good place to start is with the 10 Commandments (see Exodus 20: 2-17). These to me symbolize the order of the Kingdom Of Heaven and how this order needs to be reflected on the earth through you and I as followers of Jesus Christ.

I recently heard a Pastor define a BURDEN as " a problem in the world that God gives you eyes to see". I loved this definition because it also points to what each person's assignment therefore is; if it wasn't clear earlier your assignment is the unique way God has called you to reign and have dominion in a specific sphere of influence. This could be in the Education, Government, Entertainment, Family, Media, Business or Religious Sectors with the focus being to reflect Heaven and it's systems there.
